McCormick & Smiths

Meghan was quite sick for the first few months of her pregnancy, so we missed out on doing quite a few social events over that time.  We hadn't seen our friends Nate and Carla in awhile, so we scheduled a time, which ended up being today, to go out to dinner with them.  We were both able to get childcare, so we were able to have a nice dinner out on the Plaza at McCormick & Schmick's.  It was really nice to have a "grown-up" dinner with friends for the first time in awhile.  The food was great, and we of course ordered the famed "chocolate box" as it was inadvertently renamed by our group.

A Giant Victory

When you have kids, your Super Bowl plans tend to be a litle different than they were before kids.  We hadn't seen our friends the Smiths in awhile, so we decided to combine a visit with them with a Super Bowl party.  We went to their house and got to watch the game in their newly-finished basement.  Meghan and Carla each made many delicious snacks, and we had a great time.  We did need to leave a little early to get home in time for Joshua's bedtime, but I had recorded the game on our TV, so when we got home I was able to pick up where we left off at their house, so I was able to see the whole thing, including the thrilling finish which resulted in Peyton Manning now having the second-most Super Bowl trophies in his family.
