Today was Clara's actual birthday. We celebrated at home with a dinner for the birthday girl of rolls and mandarin oranges, which are her two favorite foods. We gave her our gifts and Aunt Josie also came over to give hers since she was out of town for the party. We had French Silk pie that was leftover from Thanksgiving that Clara enjoyed greatly and it was a very good day. I can't believe it's been a full year since Clara was born. In some ways it seems way longer, but when I think of getting the call from the adoption agency last Thanksgiving in the evening, it doesn't seem like so long.
