Blockfest
Twice a year, the Olathe School District hosts an event called Blockfest in which kids can come and play with different types of blocks and learn different skills related to them. It's held in a big room with six different stations, each with a different kind of block (wooden planks, small cubes, big foam blocks, etc.). We thought this would be fun for Joshua, so I took him. His favorite way to play with stackable things has always been to knock them down, and that was the case today as well. Here we are at the end of the session when many other kids had already left, and Joshua was helping to "clean up" by doing the opposite of cleaning up.
