Finalization

Today we went to the courthouse in Wichita to finalize Clara's adoption. First we waited for our attorney in a meeting room. Then we went into the courtroom and the judge asked us a few questions and signed our adoption decree. It was pretty quick and informal, but it felt great to have the legal process done.

One thing that we were a little disappointed with in Joshua's hearing is that these things are pretty informal so there was no gavel banging, which we had really been looking forward to. It was the same for this hearing, but this time Jason got to declare Clara to be officially ours and bang the gavel.
