We would like Joshua to be interested in books. For most of his life he has had interest in them, but only in how far across the room he could throw them. Recently, though, he's started to sit down with a book and flip through the pages while looking at the pictures. We started leavng some of the ones with hard pages in his room overnight and also when he naps. So now when he wakes up, he'll just look through his books for quite awhile without making a peep. Today after his nap I went in to get him, and he was reading one of his animal books (he doesn't mind upside-down pictures) and looking up at me as if he was slightly annoyed that I was interrupting his reading time.
